Pastor  Ernest L.Chambers Jr.

Pastor Chambers is the son of Ernest Lee Chambers, Sr., and Margaret Howie Chambers. He was born in Bronx, NY and is the oldest of three siblings. He is married to Katavia C. Watson and together they enjoy four children and one granddaughter.

 

Pastor Chambers was educated in the Charlotte- Mecklenburg School System. He attended Metronlina Extension where he graduated with an Associate's Degree in Pastoral Studies. He also attended Shaw University School of Divinity and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Religion and Philosophy. He continued his education at Hood Theological Seminary where he graduated with a Master's of Divinity Degree. 

 

Pastor Chambers served as the Associate Minister of the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC where he did his initial sermon in 1994 under the leadership of Dr. L. D. Parker. He also served as an Associate Minister at the Friendship Christian Church in Gastonia, NC under the leadership of Bishop John A. McCullough, III. He went on to venture on his journey and joined the Nazareth Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC under the leadership of Dr. John T. McCoy and finished his tenure of Associate Ministry at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in McConnell, SC under the leadership of Dr. Bobby L. Featherstone, Sr. 

 

Pastor Chambers has pastored several churches and is grateful now for the opportunity to serve as Pastor of Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church in White Oak, SC. Reverend Chambers started at Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church as the Intern Pastor in April of 2019, and under his internship, there have been over ten baptisms, three baby dedications, and seven rededications. He has since then started a New Member's Class, Clothing Ministry, and Rest Home Ministry. As our pastor continues to be guided by the Holy Spirit, "The best is yet to come."
